| Step by Step Tutorial to get a work Copyright in India |
1. Open copyright.gov.in and click on the link “New User Registration” as shown in the picture below
2. Fill out the necessary information and click on the submit button
3. After that, Login with your credentials.
4. Click on e-Filing of Application
5. A new window will open.
6. Click on Click here for online Copyright registration.
Now, fill out the application according to the Steps mentioned i.e
Step 1 Form X1V
Step 2 Statement of Particulars
Step 3 Statement of Further Particulars
Step 4Payment Details.
1. Complete the Form XIV, Press Save button and go to second step.
2. Now, Fill up statement of particulars, press save button and go to third step.
3. Third step is an important step because in this step you have to mention the type of work that you want to copyright. Click here to know more about Copyright work in India. Now you have to Fill up the Statement of Further Particulars. Your work may be Literary, Dramatic, Musical or Artistic. Click on save button and move to next step.
4. After that Fill up the payment details. Currently, IPO/DD/Online Payment is applicable.
5. After completing this steps a diary number will be generated. Please keep it safe for future reference.
6. After that take print out of Copyright registration Slip and Acknowledgement Slip and send the particulars to the address mentioned below:
Boudhik Sampada Bhawan, Plot No. 32, Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078.
